A big waste of time and money!
It looks obvious that Spacex should begin replenishing it’s liquid oxygen and methane via barge. I addition to that they need to get busy building multiple launch pads at both Boca Chica and Cape Canaveral because it will take at least eight launches to refuel each Starship for other world missions. If Musk is to meet NASA deadlines for a moon mission he needs to expand his infrastructure.

I'd feel better if they were going to install some sort of variable counter weight. It seems like a lot of stress only on one side of the tower.
Now i think lots of activities are done at ground level like pipes and bassement, lot of work in tower, but difficult to see… the most remarkable may be the new bay. Areal view can give us a better approach.

Slower my but I can see you don't have a concept of how much work goes into structural steel erection. Let alone the most difficult engineering going into something to do such a job the stresses are outrageous. Do keep in mind this tower has more engineering then a rocket ECT. And nothing has a simple center of balance when swinging these large parts to be fitted and placed permanently to the tower
What I am concerned about is the apparent lack of any plans to test catching a booster or starship before they try it the first time with flight hardware. They should have used Booster 3 to configure it for such a round of tests, but alas, started cutting that one into pieces, and could use either (or both) of SN-15 or SN-16 to perform such tests. Here's hoping they use either (or both) Booster 4 or Booster 5 to for testing the catch arms. To do so, they will need to fashion a set of robust foldable landing legs to attach to the booster. Perhaps they modify or adapt a number of the legs used on the Falcon 9, if they are sturdy and long enough? They should fly both booster and starship from a suborbital pad, simulate an approach to the arms as if it were an actual approach, attempt the catch and (if successful) set the booster (legs folded) onto the pad as Elon desires. If unsuccessful, the booster (or starship) can abort the catch attempt, deploy landing legs and land on an adjacent landing pad. Do a successful catch 5 times in a row, then maybe they are ready to try with flight hardware. Otherwise, they should be splashing the flight hardware in the drink.

I think it is a terrible idea. They are not building the ship anymore but the infrastructure around it.
The ship also needs to be seriously reinforced at the catch pressure points, thus defeating the purpose of saving weight.

My biggest fear is Launch Tower collapse ! , the weight of the chopsticks moving up and down plus vibrations caused by the booster at launch and the movement of the QDA could cause a problem further down the line. The Chopsticks supporting a booster that high up means the high centre of gravity could very well put overload on the lower tower structure up to breaking point.
Many things in your pictures of the launch mount and tower are pretty complicated. It would help if you could highlight the piece that you’re talking about somehow.

This all seems so complex, which I imagine it needs to be. Musk said the building of the launch tower and infrastructure will take more time than building Starship. I’m worried that a catastrophic failure during first launch will damage everything so bad they will have to start over. That could be devastating to Elon’s plans not to mention what the locals would say and the government.
As I’ve mentioned earlier I’m afraid that the plumbing nightmare to supply 39 engines is so complex where the failure of even one pipe could mean disaster. The Saturn V used only five engines with far less plumbing hence less chance for failure. That being said, how about the catastrophic failure of just one of the Raptor engines that also could lead to disaster.
Anyone with thoughts on this?

Chinese military must be very happy with all the details they can copy so they can be the first to establish a Mars colony with no FAA and Jeff Who to delay things.
I am concern about a number of things. Fully loaded, the super heavy lox and methane will have hundreds of tons of pressure pushing against the seals between the quick disconnect ports and the rocket fill ports. Add to that 7 bar of ullage pressure from the evaporation of cryogenic liquid in the tank. I can't see a seal that will reliably hold back that kind of pressure yet also instantly disconnect and withstand the temperature fluctuations. Any ideas how this is done?
