The Blessing introduced by Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes was written from the hearts of false prosperity gospel teachers and singers, including Steven Furtick from ‘Elevation Church.’ Kari Jobe and her husband Cody Carnes attend ‘The Belonging Co’ which is also a disobedient, false prosperity gospel church in Nashville, Tennessee. The fact this church has a female lead teacher/pastor shows the level of their disobedience.
1 Timothy 2:11-14
“A woman must learn in quietness and full submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression.”
The disobedience of these churches is disheartening, as no worship or teaching that comes from these churches or the hearts, minds, and mouths of those who attend them is honoring to holy God.
And the fact that you, Joshua, continue to openly support, defend, and even endorse these false churches, their music, and even their teachers brings into serious question your own disobedience to God and His Word. You should not encourage the spread of these songs and churches because it leads people to believe that the theology that comes from these churches is sound teaching and honors God, when it is the opposite. False doctrine from false churches leads people to Hell, and their “worship” is detestable to Him.
Please pray for Kari and her husband, Cody, that they will immediately leave their false church and stop communing with false teachers and demonic doctrine. But instead, seek out a God-honoring, God-fearing, obedient church that strictly adheres to sound biblical doctrine. I pray that you too, Joshua, choose to honor God and be obedient to sound biblical doctrine, and avoid false teachers and their music.
